The Pima Air and Space Museum offers three different kinds of tours. The first time we went there, we did the walking tour. It was exciting to see three different hangars with different types of aircrafts. The second time we went there, we took the bus. We had to go back to return the diaper bag to the car because, for safety reasons, only one small carry-on item was allowed per passenger in the bus. We enjoyed this tour better than the walking tour... the cooler environment made it a more pleasant experience for the family. The kids enjoyed it, but I think an hour-an hour and a half worth of walking/sitting/listening was too much for my children's short attention span. The water cooler that are placed in certain locations of the museum kept the kids busy. They enjoyed competing on who would find the next water station. The Pima Air and Space Museum is the best Air & Space Museum that I have ever been to-- and this includes the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. There is so much to do and see. There are tons of interactive exhibits. There must be hundreds of different planes. Make sure you go during nice weather. We got stuck in the rain and couldn't spend as much time with the outdoor exhibits as we wanted to.
PROS: Inexpensive, a lot to do and see
CONS: NOTHING

While in Tucson, you need to visit this museum, especially if you're into aviation. A spectacular entrance is just the prelude to what's in store for you inside the museum. You'll see more aviation items than you ever thought you'd see. Definitely a museum to visit more than once.
