Tucson Arizona Things To Do
After spending two years as a resident and concierge in Tucson, I felt compelled to make a comprehensive list of activities in Tucson. One of my favorite things to do in and around Tucson is exploring Arizona and doing cool things, like spending a few weeks on a road trip through the United States in 2015. After seeing the best things I've done with Tucson, I toured the rest of the city and felt Tucson's street-level ambience.
A hike in Sabino Canyon really allowed me to get out and experience Tucson's atmosphere, air and flora. I used to hike Reddington Pass, but I can't say the same for most of the trails in Tucson. You can hike through the desert wilderness to the top of the Redding Pass and back again, all in just a few hours.
While in Tucson, you should visit the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona. This location is so cool that if you go to this place, consider visiting the Old Tucson Studios, as my friend Sage did. Try camping in the Saguaro National Park, where you can enjoy a bit of sun, fresh air and great views of the Arizona desert.
Those who appreciate art will love the galleries at the Arizona / Sonora Desert Museum. In this museum, you can see how Tucson, Arizona, has become the blooming gem in the Southwest that it is.
This park is right next to some of Tucson's most popular attractions, including the Arizona / Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson Museum of Natural History and University of Arizona. A few minutes drive from the museum, one of the most popular campgrounds is also located in Tucson, Arizona, just a few miles south of downtown Tucson. This park and nearby Arizona State Park attract visitors year-round.
There are a few other places not to miss in Tucson, such as Mission San Xavier del Bac, a historic Catholic mission in Spain, and Kitt's Peak National Observatory, located in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. There are many other attractions that both locals and visitors should visit.
