TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County authorities say a traffic stop has led to a major drug bust in a home.
Sheriff's officials said Thursday that 34-year-old Jesus Maria Lopez-Verduzco has been booked into a county jail on five counts including possession of a dangerous drug and transportation for sale.
According to deputies, they stopped Lopez-Verduzco's vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. He was found with nearly $2,000 and individually-wrapped baggies of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Deputies spent two days investigating a home based on information obtained during the traffic stop.
They recovered a stolen handgun, 10,000 fentanyl pills, more than 11 pounds of heroin, nearly 6 pounds of cocaine and around 9 pounds of meth. Everything was worth an estimated value of $400,000.
It was not immediately known if Lopez-Verduzco had an attorney.
