TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson woman has been accused of child abuse after the death of her 8-month-old daughter who police said had puncture wounds and scratches on her body.
Police say Breanna Henson was extremely intoxicated when officers arrived at the home Thursday and that the unresponsive child's wounds were consistent with injuries that could be caused by a dog.
Sgt. Pete Dugan said there was a dog at the home. He didn't' specify its breed.
An autopsy was scheduled to determine cause of death.
Court records don't list a defense attorney for Henson who could comment on the allegations. She was visibly upset and cried during an initial court appearance.
